The „2010 Machine of the Year" (Maschine des Jahres 2010) competition is organised by journalists of over ten professional agricultural periodicals and Web portals from Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Russia and Sweden. The international jury includes Poland, represented by the AGROmechanika magazine. Members of the jury evaluate products entered to the competition in as many as 14 different categories in terms of their innovation and quality. For European companies, the award ceremony took place during the Hannover exhibition. Polish branches and agencies of companies will receive the said distinctions and titles on 13 February at the Polagra-Premiery Fair.

The 2010 Machine of the Year Award will be presented in Poznań to:

• In the „High horsepower tractor" category - Claas company for Xerion 4500 and 5000 models of tractors
• In the „Upper class tractor" category - Korbanek company, head representative of Fendt company in Poland, for multi-purpose tractors of 800 Vario series
• In the „Upper middle class tractors" category - Case IH company for the Puma CVX product and New Holland company for T7000 AutoCommand tractor
• In the „Lower middle class tractors" category - Korbanek company, head representative of Fendt company in Poland, for multi-purpose tractors Fendt 200 Vario
• In the „Compact specialized tractors" category - Korbanek company, head representative of Fendt company in Poland, for Fendt 200 Vario V/F/P tractor models
• In the „Combines" category - Korbanek company, head representative of Massey company in Poland, for the Ferguson 9280 Delta brand
• In the „Self-propelled harvesters" category - Agromix Rojęczyn company, head representative of Krone company in Poland for Krone BIG X product
• In the „Silo trailers" category - Pöttinger company for Jumbo Combiline product
• In the „Sowing technique" category - Kverneland company for GEOseed electrical drive
• In the „Tillage equipment" category - Lemken company for Juwel plough
• In the „Root harvesting technique" category - Grimme company for Grimme Rexor 620 beet harvester
• In the „Renewable energy" category - Envitec-Biogas company for Feed-Control

A special distinction will be presented to the John Deere company for the „tractor-machine" communication system.
