Polagra Premiery 2020 has started!

The first day of Polagra Premiery is behind us! It was full of attractions for visitors. Presentation of new products, substantive conferences and lectures, official opening of the Fair and awarding of MTP Gold Medals are just some of them.

From the very morning the area of ​​the Poznań International Fair hosted crowds of Visitors interested in innovative agriculture. The exhibition of the Fair included 7 pavilions, filled to the brim with the latest models of machines, devices and solutions for agriculture. Exhibitors have prepared 150 absolute novelties that have not been presented on the Polish market so far.

The most impressive pavilion is certainly Pavilion 5, which has exhibitions of companies offering agricultural machinery from global brands, including CLAAS, ZETOR, FENDT, MASSEY FERGUSON, JOHN DEERE, VALTRA, KUHN.

Equally interesting is Pavilion 5A, called the Innovation Pavilion, in which the Innovation Zone was located, where Zootechnics Day with training of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture regarding new IRZPlus functionalities and a series of lectures prepared in cooperation with the top media patron top agrar Polska. In addition, throughout the day there were lectures and presentations of companies dealing primarily with the subject of innovative solutions for agriculture and touching current industry problems. Also in the Innovation Zone there was a Forum of Cereal and Corn Producers with the participation of Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Ryszard Kamiński.

Agronomy Day with a conference on innovative agriculture, prepared by Agro Profil magazine, also began from 11 o'clock. The conference was divided into two panels. The technical panel discussed, among others modern technique of soil cultivation adapted to the needs of the habitat and the requirements of the plant, belt cultivation and precise agriculture that allows to reduce production costs on the farm. The crop panel concerned weed resistance to herbicides and fungicide protection strategies.

At 12 o'clock, a fair opening ceremony was held on stage at Aleja Lipowa, which was attended by many guests, including Undersecretary of State Ryszard Kamiński. The official part began with the President of the MTP Group Przemysław Trawa, who noted the huge progress and changes that have occurred in agriculture since the first edition of the Polagra Premiera, which took place in 1985. He emphasized that Polagra Premiery is based on three foundations such as Premieres, Export and Knowledge. Premieres, means product news that are the essence of this event. Export, means promotion of Polish producers and enabling them to establish business contacts with buyers from around the world, which we host as part of the Hosted Buyers program. Knowledge is certainly what today attracts visitors, who on their farms face many challenges not only economic, but also related to environmental impact or weather anomalies. Events accompanying the Fair answered many of the questions that bother farmers today. During the grand opening of visitors, Katarzyna Kierzek-Koperska, the Deputy Mayor of Poznań, also greeted the visitors, who emphasized the long-standing tradition of the market in Poznań. Undersecretary of State Ryszard Kamiński pointed out the importance of development and investment in agriculture that can face climate change or disease outbreaks.

After the ceremonial Opening Gala of the Polagra Premiere, awards were given to the MTP Group Gold Medal competition in the presence of Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture, Ryszard Kamiński, prof. dr hab. Grzegorz Skrzypczak, Chairman of the Competition Jury and Przemysław Grass, President of the MTP Group. The Competition Jury at Polagra Premiery 2020 awarded 37 innovative products and solutions for agriculture in the categories of plants and machines. This year, for the first time among the winners of the Gold Medal two new special prizes - MTP Group Eco Prize and MTP Group Grand Prix. The MTP Group Eco Prize is awarded to the most ecological products and solutions. In 2020, this award was won by TEEJET TECHNOLOGIES for the Matrix 430VF product. The product can be seen until Sunday at the Fair, in pavilion 5, stand number 19. Grand Prix of the MTP Group is awarded to the most innovative products that present unique solutions on a global scale. In 2020, this award went to Usarya Polska, specifically to their Husarya SCS-100 stone collection machine. You can see it live until Sunday in the Innovation Pavilion 5A, at stand No. 19.
